    Beginning Nalbinding

    9:00 amNorth Country Fiber Fair in Watertown, SD (Coddington County Extension Building)

    You will learn about historical finds that contained nalbinding and how to do one of the simplest stitches, called the Oslo stitch. With the stitch you’ll learn how to turn, work in the round, increase, and decrease. Our project will be a mini tote bag. (3 hours)

  • Nalbinding Braids & Colorwork

    1:30 pmNorth Country Fiber Fair in Watertown, SD (Coddington County Extension Building)

    Learn how to make braided and simple knotwork to add a distinctive touch to your work.  You’ll make samples of each style in the Finnish 2+2 stitch (a solid stitch that holds its form) as an edging.  I’ll have pieces ready for you to work on – so you get to focus on the fun edgings. (3 hours)
